# Introduction

The ADLINK PXES-2305 compact 5-slot PXI Express chassis with integrated extension controller is compliant with PXI Express and cPCI Express specifications, providing five hybrid peripheral slots to support a wide variety of enhanced-bandwidth testing and measurement applications. The hybrid-slot design accepts installation of CompactPCI, PXI, CompactPCI Express, and PXI Express modules in any peripheral slot for maximum flexibility. Based on a PXI Express chassis with 250MB/s system bandwidth, the PXES-2305's peripheral slots are all connected with PCIe x1, slot bandwidth up to 250MB/s. The PXES-2305 also implements a smart system monitoring controller, reporting full chassis status including fan speed, system voltages, and internal temperature.

The PXES-2305’s built-in PCI-Express extension chassis controller connector enables remote control of the chassis when a PCIe-8560 host card is connected via a PCI-Express extension cable.

The compact, rugged, half-rack size with efficient construction suits the PXES- 2305 for portable use with minimal space requirements, and industrial grade AC power supply delivers 320W performance under 50°C, with superior cooling capacity. All in all, the PXES-2305 delivers an ideal PXI Express platform choice for practically any testing and measurement operation.
